The 2012 Stem Cell Meeting on the Mesa is a three-day conference aimed at bringing together senior members of the business development and scientific research communities in regenerative medicine to advance stem cell science into cures for debilitating diseases and injuries. About the Investor & Partnering Forum
The second annual Investor and Partnering Forum at the Stem Cell Meeting on the Mesa is the only partnering meeting organized specifically for the regenerative medicine industry. The EBD groups sophisticated partnering platform combined with the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine's mulit-stakeholder network of companies, investors, research institutes, government agencies, and medical philanthropies separates the Stem Cell Meeting on the Mesa from other industry events as it provides attendees the opportunity to establish relationships between investors, companies, and entrepreneurial academics to facilitate business development and partnering in the field. Partnering Forum Attendees
The Investor and Partnering Forum expects to attract approximately 400 participants alone n its second year. In addition to the Scientific Symposium at Stem Cell Meeting on the Mesa, the Forum will specifically attract:

Agenda
This Investor and Partnering Forum features three main components:
- Partnering
- Company presentations
- Industry panels
Partnering
Partnering at the Forum will focus on facilitating access to capital and business development in the regenerative medicine field. The one-to-one meetings will be scheduled using a state-of-the-art partnering system provided by the EBD Group to match and connect participants with prospective partners and investors.
Company Presentations
The Investor and Partnering Forum will also offer innovative and growing companies with the opportunity to present on new technologies, programs, or commercial developments in their business. These presentations are in 15-minute allotments and will be featured throughout the Forum.
Industry Panels
The second day of the Forum will feature a keynote address and panel discussions featuring thought leaders in the field or regenerative medicine science, commercialization, regulatory, and reimbursement issues. Panelists will include executives from leading regenerative medicine research institutes and companies discussing new technologies, commercial development obstacles, and challenges ahead for newly marketed and late-stage products in regenerative medicine.

About the Scientific Symposium
Each year, the La Jolla Torrey Pines Mesa region leads California in grants and funding from the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM). What better place to host Stem Cell Meeting on the Mesa – a scientific symposium that draws together pioneers from San Diego and beyond who are responsible for advancing research into cures for debilitating diseases and injuries.
This Symposium, now in it’s 7th year and presented by the Sanford Consortium, attracts leading scientists, life sciences business executives, patient advocates and government officials, with the aim to examine the imminent scientific, ethical and business challenges facing stem cell research today. The format is designed around 4 panel discussions that explore topics ranging from basic science and technologies to regulatory considerations and highlighted by 2 keynote presentations from world renowned stem cell researchers.
