Emily Whitehead Foundation
The Emily Whitehead Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that raises awareness and funding for pediatric cancer immunotherapy research. Emily Whitehead is a three-time cancer survivor and was the first child in the world to receive CAR-T cell therapy, a form of immunotherapy. Emily is now ten years cancer free and considered cured. Since 2015, the Emily Whitehead Foundation has supported research funding to develop innovative treatments that are less toxic and more targeted, such as immunotherapy, for pediatric cancer patients, and supports families fighting childhood cancer.
