The EU’s Hospital Exemption can be a lifeline for patients. But as part of the revision of the Pharma Legislation, the EU should bring the exemption back in line with its original intent, improve transparency for its use, and harmonize its application across Member States. ARM, EFPIA, EuropaBio, EUCOPE, and ISCT have released a joint position paper outlining our recommendations for the Hospital Exemption.
