The Tampa-based facility is one of only 57 National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers, and the only one based in Florida, a distinction that recognizes Moffitt’s scientific excellence, multidisciplinary research, and robust training and education. Moffitt’s expert nursing staff is recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center with Magnet® status, its highest distinction.
Moffitt is one of the 33 leading cancer centers in the U.S. participating in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN). The nonprofit alliance is dedicated to patient care, research and education. Moffitt plays a critical role in improving the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of cancer care so that patients can live better lives. The center is also at the core of establishing national guidelines for cancer care.
